Former WWE And WCW Wrestlers React To Some Of The More Dangerous G1 SPECIAL Spots

NJPW's G1 Special was a terrific event overall, but a couple of spots - Dragon Lee's brutal Phoenix-Plex to Hiromu Takahashi in particular - have come in for a lot of backlash from pro-wrestling personalities.

The G1 Special featured plenty of great in-ring action, and, as is usually the case with a big NJPW event, a couple of spots that were deemed unnecessarily risky by many - and it's hard to argue when we're hearing that Hiromu Takahashi suffered a broken neck after Dragon Lee dropped him right on his head.

Another spot that almost ended in disaster was Kenny Omega power-bombing Cody from the ring to a table set up on the floor. The table didn't break, and the American Nightmare's head jolted back from the impact.

Fortunately, Cody appears to be okay - although he has announced that he'll be taking some time away from wrestling to "heal his body."

How do you guys feel about this? Is NJPW - and Japanese style in general - too dangerous? You can check out some Tweets from Disco Inferno, X-Pac and wrestling announcer Gary Cappetta below.
