It appears that Dominion won’t be the last time we’ll see Chris Jericho.
According to
Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, the current plans for the AEW World Champion will see him take on former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 14 in 2020.
Jericho last competed in New Japan back in June against Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and a future showdown between Tanahashi and Jericho was teased when the 2018 G1 Climax winner stopped Jericho from his assault against Okada.
Despite working for AEW, Jericho is allowed to compete in New Japan Pro Wrestling, as long as the shows are in Japan. Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega both have the same stipulation on their respective contracts.
Moxley – who is the current IWGP United States Champion – is scheduled to compete at the event, though his opponent is not confirmed. Omega continues to be on the outs of New Japan, as the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion hasn’t wrestled for the company since dropping the belt at Wrestle Kingdom 13 in January.
