This year's G1 Climax was nothing short of spectacular, with New Japan Pro-Wrestling's finest pulling out all the stops to bring fans some of the best wrestling on the planet. When the smoke had cleared, however, only one man was left standing.

Though many expected (hoped?) to see Kota Ibushi win the tournament, after a typically superb final it was Hiroshi Tanahashi that picked up the win.

Afterwards at the press conference, The Ace made it clear that he wants a shot at the IWGP heavyweight title at Wrestle Kingdom 13 on January 4th. Though that match has not been made official by NJPW yet, expect Kenny Omega to accept Hiroshi's challenge any day now.
