As we told you a little earlier today, Cody vs. Darby Allin at All Elite Wrestling's Fyter Fest ended with Shawn Spears hitting the former across the head with a chair. Cody seemingly didn't get his hands up in time because the chair hit him right across the side of the head and he then started bleeding profusely before being led to the back.

As of right now, it's unclear whether it was a fluke accident or a deliberate move on AEW's part but it's certainly left fans talking.

Now, AEW President Tony Khan has weighed in. "We called a doctor immediately. Obviously really regrettable what happened. I don’t know if this is the time to go into detail about what happened but we had taken precautions in this situation and that specific situation. A doctor was available and Cody does not have a concussion and had staples and we’re all very grateful for that."

Brandi Rhodes took to Twitter to reveal that Cody had to get staples in his head, while he later let know fans he's doing okay. We'll be sure to let you guys know if we hear any more about the situation!
