Could we see Jon Moxley vs. Minoru Suzuki in the future?

Hopefully so, as the IWGP United States Champion sat down with NJPW and discussed his desire to face off against the former IWGP Intercontinental Champion (transcript courtesy of wrestletalk.com):

“I want to test my potential by fighting Minoru Suzuki. I want to see what happens.”

The former WWE Superstar also discussed working the grueling G1 Climax tournament and the tough demands that comes in the annual competition:

“That’s right. Moreover, there were no moments when the harshness eased. “G1” doesn’t allow you to do your best today and let’s get a little off tomorrow. I’ll always run through for 4 or 5 weeks.”

Moxley believes he had a target on his back during the G1 Climax since he just left the WWE:

“Every wrestler has made a violent attack to drive me out of New Japan and G1. They wanted to get fame by defeating me. So I felt like I was carrying a big target behind me during the G1 period. That’s why I tried to fight hard from me before they got ready for war.”

Jon Moxley is scheduled to return and face Juice Robinson at King of Pro Wrestling for the IWGP United States Championship on October 14. The match-up will be under No Disqualification rules.
