In the highly anticipated main event, NEVER Openweight Champion Tomohiro Ishii fought IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley in a brutal and fun match-up. Both men entered the bout undefeated, as Moxley was successful against Jeff Cobb and Taichi, and Ishii defeated Jay White and Jeff Cobb.

The back-and-forth battle saw both men use various weapons such as a steel chair and a table, and the bout even went through the crowd at one point. After a 50/50 encounter of stiff shots between the New Japan stars, Moxley would be able to get the win around 21-minutes due to a Death Rider (Dirty Deeds).

The IWGP United States Champion remains undefeated in the G1 Climax thus far, as Jon Moxley’s score is 3-0 (6 points) and Tomohiro Ishii’s score is 2-1 (4 points).
