While it was clear that Juice Robinson was out of the chance to get into the G1 final, his last match-up against Jon Moxley was still an important one. Moxley not only defeated Robinson for the IWGP United States title, but changed his career after the violent beatdown he suffered.

The bout started out as a fight between Moxley and Robinson; however, the IWGP US Champion got the upper hand due to Robinson’s knee giving out after escaping a suplex.

Like a vicious animal, Moxley attacked the leg from that moment on. Robinson had a brief comeback moment; however, the IWGP US Champion would shut him down quickly. After escaping a cloverleaf submission, Robinson got into another striking exchange with Moxley, this time winning the battle and then connected with a flapjack and clothesline.

After these two continued to fight both inside and outside the ring, Moxley finally got the best of situation thanks to a clothesline. He then attempted a Death Rider, but Robinson tripped him up and locked in an ankle lock. Moxley went on the attack again once he escaped the hold; however, in the end, Robinson connected with a punching combination and then Pulp Friction for the win.

Juice Robinson’s final G1 Climax tournament score is 4-5 (8 points) and Jon Moxley’s finalized record in the 2019 competition is 5-5 (10 points).
