Both Juice Robinson and Hirooki Goto had some nice momentum going into the their G1 bout on Monday.

Ever since Robinson lost the IWGP United States title to Jon Moxley back in June, the New Japan star has shown a nice edge in his matches since then. Robinson successfully defeated Shingo Takagi on Day 2 of the G1 Climax and Hirooki Goto pulled off a huge victory over former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Jay White on the same day as Robinson.

The former NEVER Openweight Champion would get the advantage over Robinson early in the bout; however, Robinson was able to get the match-up in his favor with a headbutt, a left-handed punch, and then hit his signature maneuver, Pulp Friction for the win.

Juice Robinson’s record in the G1 Climax is 2-0, whereas Hirooki Goto is now 1-1.
