Toru Yano has been a surprise throughout the G1 Climax this year, as the former IWGP Tag Team Champion has pulled off some big victories over IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito and former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Jay White.
With his current momentum, could Yano defeat former IWGP United States Champion Juice Robinson? That answer turned out to be a big no, as Robinson was onto Yano’s antics and was able to outsmart the former IWGP Tag Team Champion.
Robinson was able to put Yano away within 5 minutes with Pulp Friction. Juice Robinson’s record in the G1 Climax is now 3-1 (6 points), whereas Toru Yano’s record in the G1 Climax is now 2-2 (4 points).
