Kenny Omega's star continues to rise and it's been clear for a while now that he doesn't need WWE to get on the radar of wrestling fans across the world. That was evident today after an incredible bout which saw him take down Kazuchika Okada in an epic 2-out-of-3 falls match to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Many are already hailing it as a modern classic and all-time great.

Okada won the first fall about 30 minutes into the match and Omega followed that around 20 minutes later. The bout ended at around the 1 hour, 10 minutes mark when he hit the One-Winged Angel.

To say it exceeded expectations would be an understatement and The Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi quickly hit the ring to celebrate Omega's victory. Did you watch this match? If so, what did you think? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on that in the comments section down below.
