KENTA will now make his mark in New Japan Pro Wrestling!
The man formerly known as Hideo Itami down in the WWE made a surprise appearance at NJPW’s Dominion pay-per-view. The former 205 Live star would state that he intends to bring the fight to New Japan Pro Wrestling, which will start at this year’s G1 Climax tournament.
The former Hideo Itami was granted his release from the WWE in February, with reports claiming that the former GHC Heavyweight Champion was unhappy with his creative direction in the company. Before his five-plus year tenure with the WWE, KENTA was a main stay in Pro Wrestling Noah from 2000 to 2014. He even made a one-off appearance in 2018, losing to Naomichi Marufuji at Marufuji's 20th Anniversary show.
There’s no word on the contract status between KENTA and New Japan, but hopefully we’ll get the same wrestler that made him one of the hottest talents in the wrestling community before he entered the WWE.
