Going into the final A-Block G1 Climax match-up, while both Archer and EVIL were eliminated from advancing into the finals of the competition, both men clearly wanted to end the tournament strong.

The bout began with both Archer and EVIL at a stalemate until the former won by putting down a charging EVIL and then connecting with a sidewalk slam.

EVIL would go outside to regain his composure; however, Archer made sure that the former IWGP Tag Team Champion didn’t get a chance to rest whatsoever. The Texas native would gain the advantage throughout most of the bout, with EVIL getting brief moments of life until Archer used his power and strength to put an end to his comeback.

EVIL would eventually get back control of the match-up after he nailed Archer with a lariat. He then connected with a rope assisted spinning neck breaker for a nearfall. However, Archer would come back with a chokeslam that got him a strong nearfall. A short time later, Archer would connect with the EVD Claw and got the three count.

Lance Archer finishes off the G1 Climax tournament with a score of 3-6 (6 points) and EVIL finished off the competition with the record of 4-5 (8 points).
