A women’s evolution continues to take place in all of professional wrestling.

2018 saw the official introduction of the ROH women’s division, a first-ever all women’s pay-per-view on a WWE broadcast, and as we look ahead to 2019, WWE has already announced that the women’s tag team championships will be introduced.

It also appears that Major League Wrestling will integrate a women’s division into their promotion.

MLW founder Court Bauer was asked if he had any plans of developing a women’s division for the show in the near future and the former WWE writer revealed that the company is actually working on the first phase of creating a women’s division and questioned the fans on who they would like to see apart of the MLW female roster:

Bauer never guarantees that he’ll reveal the division in 2019, but the fact that more opportunities for female wrestlers outside of WWE are opening is always a good sign.
