Back on the debut of AEW Dynamite in Washington DC, Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes unveiled the AEW World Tag Team title belt.

Fans noticed the image of a cradle piledriver on the side plates and Matt Jackson went on social media and confirmed that the cradle piledriver side plate is a tribute to AEW coach and ECW legend Jerry Lynn.



Lynn is a well respected veteran in the wrestling business; In addition to being in ECW, the former world champion has wrestled in TNA, Ring of Honor, NWA, WWE, and countless of other promotions. Lynn has won numerous titles throughout his career such as the ECW World Championship, ROH World Championship, and NWA Tag Team Championship.

The AEW Tag Team title tournament begins this Wednesday, as The Young Bucks will face Private Party. Dynamite will also feature Jon Moxley taking on Shawn Spears, Darby Allin vs. Jimmy Jacobs, and a tag team match with AEW World Champion Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara taking on Dustin Rhodes & Adam “Hangman” Page. The first-ever AEW Tag Team Champions will be crowned on the Oct. 30 episode of AEW Dynamite.
