It’s official, Jeff Cobb will challenge for the ROH World Championship at Best In The World on June 28th in Baltimore, Maryland. The 36-year-old is coming off a long ROH World Television title reign, which was effectively ended by Shane Taylor in a Four Corner Survival Match last month.
Cobb wasn’t pinned during the bout and was given the option for a one-on-one rematch against Taylor; however, the former ROH World Television Champion decided to call out Matt Taven instead, who accepted the ROH star’s challenge for a world title match. Taven is slated to defend his championship against Tracy "Hot Sauce" Williams first at the State of the Art event, with the winner then going on to face Cobb on June 28th.
The first match announced for the Best In The World pay-per-view will see Bandido against Shane Taylor for the ROH World Television Championship, which as previously mentioned, he won at the War Of The Worlds tour earlier this month.
