The crowning of the inaugural National Openweight champion is set to happen soon as MLW has revealed the four men who will be competing to be crowned first-ever champion:

Over the next 2 weeks on MLW Fusion, 4 wrestlers will compete with two advancing to the finals on Saturday June 1st at the Waukesha County Expo Center in the greater Milwaukee area at MLW: Fury Road 2019.

In the first match-up, undefeated powerhouse Alexander Hammerstone will take on Gringo Loco on this week’s episode. Hammerstone has dominated the MLW roster since joining the company earlier this year, but will The Dynasty member suffer his first defeat against the popular luchador?

The second match-up will see Rich Swann vs. Brian Pillman Jr. With his new attitude, Swann has had strong showings in MLW, with the most notable being in the 2019 Battle Riot. Pillman Jr. has been making a strong case as a singles competitor himself and surely the Hart Foundation member will want to add more gold to the faction.
