MVP hates an executive he refuses to name.
It’s safe to say that MVP and The Hurt Syndicate are doing well for themselves in AEW. After Bobby Lashley and the former United States Champion left WWE in 2024, the duo have shared their miserable experience in the tail end of their WWE careers.
That seems to be another case in MVP’s latest appearance on the F Y'all Podcast with CT Fletcher when asked if he would slap anyone, dead or alive, without repercussions. MVP strongly hints at the individual, though he makes it clear that it’s the guy that we’re all thinking about.
You know who I want to say. You know who I want to say, I just don't know if it would be the best thing to say right now. Let's just say, in my professional career, I have only one regret. There is one individual, an executive for a wrestling company that I wish I would have slapped the shit out of when I wanted to, and I never got the chance. I'll leave it at that. That's not hard to figure out,"
The person that MVP has been notoriously critical about recently is Triple H. He’s even called him a coward and a liar. There is some implication from MVP that Triple H might be a racist, but he says in later interviews that he never called the COO a racist. Nevertheless, it does seem as if MVP is talking about his former boss as that’s usually where fans' minds would go when he brings up this statement.
Of course, MVP has worked with guys like Michael Hayes, so he could be talking about someone else. The former WWE star has also worked in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (he had a lengthy run shortly after his WWE release) and TNA/Impact Wrestling. Since MVP didn’t give a name, all we can do is speculate, but even then, MVP isn’t the first man who’s ever wanted to slap his boss.
The former WWE star has been vocal about his past experiences so many will be able to quickly understand who MVP is referring too, though it’s interesting that he didn’t simply say the executive's name.
Check out the full interview where both MVP and Shelton Benjamin discussed the origins of The Hurt Business, music, Shelton’s strange beef with Mia Yim, and there's so much more from the new All Elite Wrestling stars.
