For the first time in his career, Jeff Cobb is competing in the annual G1 Climax tournament; The former NEVER Openweight Champion is no stranger to winning grueling tournaments, as Cobb is the 2018 winner of the Battle of the Los Angeles competition.

However, the G1 Climax is surely no easy task, especially when you have ‘The Stone Pitbull’ Tomohiro Ishii standing in your way; The NEVER Openweight Champion has vast experience in the G1 Climax, though the New Japan Pro Wrestling star has yet to secure a victory in the annual competition.

As expected, this was a back-and-forth fight between the NEVER Openweight Champion and Cobb, with the latter connecting with various suplexes and athletic maneuvers, while Ishii stuck to his brawling style. In the end, after a striking exchange between both talents, Ishii was able to connect with his signature brain buster finisher for the three count.
