Recently, it was reported that former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight champion Will Ospreay was injured during a match at a Revolution Pro Wrestling/New Japan Pro Wrestling show. Ospreay suffered a rib injury and now NJPW has announced that he will be out of the Super Jr. Tag League tournament that's set to run from October 19 to November 1.

On November 3, Ospreay is expected to take on Taichi for the NEVER Openweight Championship at NJPW Power Struggle, but it remains to be seen if the high-risk wrestler has been cleared to compete by then.
