It was reported this past Saturday that Doug Williams would go one-on-one against former NWA Worlds Heavyweight champion Nick Aldis, with the winner challenging “The American Nightmare” Cody for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight title at the 70th Anniversary show on October 21.

Well, the winner of that match ended up being Aldis.

The man that’s been the centerpiece of NWA for most of the year is looking to regain the gold he lost at the huge independent event, All In. Will Cody retain the NWA title in his first-title defense? We’ll find out on October 21 in Nashville, Tennesse!
