Current NXT Superstar Kushida will make his debut for EVOLVE on August 24 & 25. The former New Japan Pro Wrestling talent is set to face JD Drake at EVOLVE 133 on August 24. That event is set to take place in Livonia, Michigan.
The match-card will also feature Matt Riddle taking on Josh Briggs and EVOLVE Champion Austin Theory (and newest WWE recruit) going one-on-one against Anthony Henry.
Then, the NXT star is set to challenge for his first WWE Championship at EVOLVE 134, as Kushida will face WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak. Kushida is actually 2-0 when it comes to facing Gulak in a WWE ring; The 205 Live star instantly issued out a challenge to the developmental talent once his name was confirmed for the EVOLVE events.
The event in Chicago will also see a Triple Threat match between Austin Theory, JD Drake, and Josh Briggs, along with a rematch at the 10
th Anniversary special, which will be Shotzi Blackheart vs. Brandi Lauren.
