On Monday, PROGRESS Wrestling 'Chapter 82: Unboxing took place at Camden, London with Pete Dunne defeating Tyler Bate in the main event.

This event was when Jordynne Grace defeated Jinny for the PROGRESS Women’s championship and it appears that this event is the last time you’ll see Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate in the independent promotion’s ring.

Back in November, it was reported that WWE gave several top NXT UK stars contracts that restricted them from wrestling with other companies. There was no word on who exactly received the new contracts but given the fact that Dunne is the NXT UK champion and Bate is arguably a big star in the brand as well, it wouldn’t be surprising if these two were the first among the others offered.

In their final match in PROGRESS, Pete Dunne defeated Tyler Bate. Here’s the post by Dunne on his time in British independent wrestling:
