Wrestling veteran Kazushi Sakuraba is being advertised to make his return to Pro Wrestling NOAH.

The former New Japan Pro Wrestling star hasn’t wrestled since 2017, but he’ll make his return on September 16, 2019 on the N-1 Victory Championship event. He’ll be teaming with Hajime Ohara and NOSAWA Rongai to take on Yoshinari Ogawa, Kotaro Suzuki & Chris Ridgeway in a six-man tag team match.

Sakuraba has been in the fields of both wrestling and mixed marital arts; The 50-year-old made his pro debut in 1993 and in addition to wrestling for NJPW, he’s also worked under the now defunct promotions of Kingdom Pro Wrestling and Union of Wrestling Forces International.

Sakuraba is notable for his feud with the Gracie family and being the first man to get a win over MMA legend Royce Gracie.
