Its been confirmed that Riho’s first title defense will be against Dr. Britt Baker on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

The match-up was first teased during the inaugural AEW Women’s Championship bout between Nyla Rose and Riho, as Baker was out on commentary during the engaging contest.

This past week, Riho and Baker teamed together to take on Bea Priestly and Emi Sukura, with the challenger getting the win for her team. There wasn’t any tension teased between Baker and Riho, thus the bout seems to have a babyface vs. babyface dynamic; however, it should be noted that Bea Priestly might come into play next week.

The match-up is added to an already stacked show, which will be headlined with Chris Jericho defending the AEW World Championship against Darby Allin. Check out the advertised card thus far:

AEW World Championship Match
Chris Jericho (c) vs. Darby Allin

AEW Women's Championship Match
Riho (c) vs. Britt Baker

AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament First Round Match
Best Friends vs. SCU

AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament First Round Match
Lucha Bros vs. Jurassic Express
