Earlier this week, Ring of Honor announced a special eight-man tournament that will crown a new #1 contender for the ROH World Championship at Final Battle in December.

Yesterday, the company finally released four names who will compete for a chance to be the next #1 contender, as former ROH World Champions Dalton Castle and Jay Lethal are confirmed for the competition. Former ROH World Television Champion Kenny King and ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champion Marty Scurll have been announced as well. The remaining four participants are expected to be announced today.

ROH will announce the official bracket on Monday, September 2 and the first-round matches are set to begin after the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view. However, the semifinals and finals will be held at Glory By Honor on October 12.
