Ring of Honor has finally confirmed the match-ups for their eight-man Final Battle tournament. As previously stated, the winner of the competition will challenge for the ROH World Championship at the Final Battle pay-per-view on December 13.
The tournament matches have very intriguing bouts set-up that can also ignite some compelling stories. One of the more interesting matches is Marty “The Villain” Scurll vs. Colt Cabana, due to the former’s contract situation with Ring of Honor. Scurll’s contract with the company is reportedly set to be up in November, with speculation heavily favoring the ROH Six-Man Tag Team champion leaving the company to jump ship to AEW.
Of course, nothing is guaranteed as Scurll could stay in ROH and actually go on to win the competition and then the title. The other bouts include Dalton Castle taking on Mark Haskins, and Jay Lethal facing Bandido for the first-time ever. The Castle-Haskins and Lethal-Bandido matches will be part of the Death Before Dishonor Fallout event in the same venue on Saturday, Sept. 28.
The tournament semifinals and finals take place at Glory By Honor in New Orleans at UNO Lakefront Arena on Saturday, Oct. 12.
