Sanada Is Able To Out Maneuver Zack Sabre Jr. In The Opening Night Of The G1 CLIMAX Tournament

Coming off an impressive showing during the New Japan Cup earlier this year, former multi-time Tag Team champion Sanada was surely looking to finally get a chance at the IWGP Heavyweight title.

Sanada faced off against Zack Sabre Jr., a man who’s arguably the best technical wrestler in the business today; Sabre Jr. has previously won a tournament in the New Japan circuit, which was last year’s New Japan Cup.

The England native was looking to use his skills inside the ring to recapture the magic he had during the New Cup in 2018; however, Sanada was able to keep up with the former RevPro British Heavyweight Champion and out maneuvered Zack with a pinning combination that resulted in a three count.
