Desperate, Lance Archer assaulted the Los Ingobernables de Japon member during his entrance. From that moment on, the Texas native wasted no time on beating down the former IWGP Tag Team Champion.

SANADA was able to mount a comeback by knocking Archer out of the ring and connecting with several dives. The bout then became a back-and-forth affair, with SANADA coming close to losing thanks to a chokeslam. In the end, Archer went for a Blackout; however, SANADA reversed into the Skull End. Archer ultimately escaped the move, but was caught with a bridging O’Connor roll that got the three count.

SANADA’s G1 Climax score is now 4-4 (8 points), whereas Lance Archer’s G1 Climax record is 2-6 (4 points).
