Fyter Fest was another awesome event from All Elite Wrestling but there's been a lot of controversy surrounding the show over the past 36 hours or so. That's because Cody Rhodes took an unprotected chair shot to the head shortly after his match with Darby Allin came to an end.

His match with Rhodes was a hard-hitting affair and one that included a lot of nasty bumps, including Allin jumping from the ring post and landing back first on the apron.

It wrapped up with a draw after the twenty minute time limit was reached but it was then that Shawn Spears (formerly known as Tye Dillinger in WWE) appeared and hit Cody with a chair. Rhodes didn't lift his hands to protect himself and so took it straight to the head, something which resulted in him falling to the ground and bleeding profusely from the head.

We'll have more on that situation later but this hopefully won't become a regular occurrence in AEW.
