Ever since his first loss to Juice Robinson in the opening for the B-Block, Shingo Takagi has been wrestling very aggressively to successful results. This past Tuesday, he defeated former IWGP Tag Team Champion Toru Yano and today, Takagi got a win over former NEVER Openweight Champion Taichi.

Taichi was coming off a huge win over IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito, and looked to employ the same strategy by winning by any means necessary. The bout was filled with hard kicks and lariats; however, Takagi would hit the Last of the Dragon within 15-minutes.

Shingo Takagi’s record in the G1 Climax is now 2-1 (4 points), whereas Taichi’s tournament score is now 1-2 (2 points).
