Tetsuya Naito joins Kota Ibushi, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Jay White, Jeff Cobb and Zack Sabre Jr. in the early portion of the tournament as the wrestlers who remain winless in the competition thus far.

The Los Ingobernables de Japon leader took a shocking loss to Toru Yano last Saturday and his match-up against Taichi resulted in another loss. Naito seemed set to defeat the former NEVER Openweight Champion until Taichi pulled the referee in front of him before a flying forearm from Naito.

The IWGP Intercontinental Champion did get a visual pinfall over Taichi; however, the referee was still down. In the end, Taichi put on an iron glove and hit Naito with it. He then connected with a Last Ride powerbomb for the three count.

Taichi’s tournament score is now 1-1, whereas Tetsuya Naito’s record falls down to 0-2.
