Just like that, Tessa Blanchard is no longer the AAA Reina de Reina Champion.

This past Saturday at the Invading New York show for AAA Lucha Libre, the third-generation superstar defended her title for the last time against now three-time champion, Taya Valkyrie. The two had an even back-and-forth affair that ultimately saw Valkyrie win with the Road To Valhalla.

The Canadian native first won the title back in 2014 and again in 2017; Her second title reign ended due to being stripped under controversial circumstances that saw Taya leave the promotion for a brief period of time. Blanchard held the title for 43 days, as she won the belt back at TripleMania XXVII in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match in August.
