After failing to defeat the former WWE champion at Dominion last year, Tetsuya Naito was able to avenge his loss last night at Wrestle Kingdom 13.

The feud has been intense throughout the build of the IWGP Intercontinental championship match and that anger and hatred was displayed throughout the brutal title bout.

Naito was able to score Destino after nailing Jericho in the head with the title and then pinned the now former IWGP Intercontinental champion. This is Naito's third time winning the title.
