On October 28 at EVOLVE 114, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins shocked fans when they not only made their debut for the promotion, but walked out as the Tag Team champions. The NXT tag team has since defended those titles proudly; however, EVOLVE 123 would ultimately be the end of their title run. Ford and Dawkins started feuding with ‘The Unwanted’, which consists of Eddie Kingston and Joe Gacy, back at EVOLVE 120.


The rivalry became very personal between the two teams quickly with fights frequently breaking out whenever they shared the ring. Dawkins and Ford were able to fend off the duo until last night when ‘The Unwanted’ one upped The Profits thanks to Shane Strickland – another member of the faction - and walked out with the tag team gold.
