CM Punk's wrestling career appears to be over and while he didn't have much luck in UFC, the former WWE Superstar has still been keeping himself busy. Ever since All In, there's been talk of the one-time Best in the World making his pro wrestling return but it still hasn't happened.
The question is, will that involve All Elite Wrestling?
"We’ll be honest," Nick of The Young Bucks and AEW executive says in the video below. "Of course, we would love him to come to our company. At this time, I just don’t think he wants to. Matt talks to him all the time about it but the timing is not right, I guess."
Matt went on to add: "Professional wrestling is the most demanding thing in the world. You can’t just find yourself back in it one day and be like ‘okay, I guess I’m doing this again.’ You really have to want to do it and that’s up to him."
For now then, it seems like it won't be happening. There's a chance we could be surprised at All Out, though, and if AEW has managed to convince Punk to return, they'll have a huge draw leading into the launch of the promotion's weekly show on TNT this fall.
