We officially have the first opponent for independent veteran Timothy Thatcher, who’s set to face off against former MLW World Tag Team Champion Davey Boy Smith Jr.

The promotion announced last month that Thatcher would make his debut for the company at MLW: Never Say Never on July 25th. Thatcher has been in the professional wrestling business since 2006, with the California native having wrestled under various promotions such as EVOLVE, DDT Pro-Wrestling, and All Pro-Wrestling.

Thatcher has previously held the EVOLVE Championship, Open the Freedom Gate Championship, and APW Universal Heavyweight Championship. The bout will be the first-time both Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Thatcher meet inside the ring. Check out the advertised match-card for Never Say Never thus far:
