Tom Lawlor’s next challenger for the MLW World Heavyweight title has been confirmed, as the former UFC star will defend his belt against the undefeated Jacob Fatu. Ever since Fatu’s debut with the CONTRA Unit on March 2nd, the controversial faction has run rough shot over the entire MLW locker room.

Lawlor is finally looking to get revenge on Fatu, who severely injured the champion after his cage match against Low Ki at Intimidation Games. The 300-pound superstar crushed the world’s champion’s ribs with a devastating splash from the top of the cage. Lawlor was hospitalized and suffered injuries that would take him out of action for 5 weeks. That wasn’t the only assault on “filthy”, as CONTRA Unit ambushed Lawlor last week in the parking lot.

Lawlor demanded a match-up against the undefeated Fatu; however, has the MLW World Heavyweight Champion bitten off more than he can chew? We’ll find out on July 6 at Cicero Stadium in Chicago. Buy General Admission tickets starting at $10 at MLWTickets.com.
