Current NEVER Openweight Champion Tomohiro Ishii continues to prove his toughness by overcoming another war, this time against former IWGP United States Champion Juice Robinson.

Not surprisingly, the match started off as a fight between the New Japan talents, as both men exchanged stiff hard shots to one another until Robinson got the better of the encounter thanks with the left hand of God.

However, Robinson’s advantage didn’t last long as Ishii had a counter for nearly every one of Robinson’s moves. The former IWGP United States Champion took some serious punishment throughout the match-up; however, Robinson continued to bring the fight to ‘The Stone Pitbull’.

In the end, after Robinson failed once again to connect with Pulp Friction, Ishii connected with a Dragon Suplex and a Sliding D for a strong nearfall. The NEVER Openweight Champion finally put Robinson away for the three count after a brainbuster.

Tomohiro Ishii’s G1 Climax score is now 3-2 (6 points), whereas Juice Robinson’s record is also 3-2 (6 points).
