Due to some unfortunate circumstances, The Best of the Super Juniors tournament line-up has been tweaked due to several wrestlers no longer competing in the annual competition. The first is El Desperado, as the New Japan talent has been removed from the annual competition due to suffering a broken jaw in his match against Jun Kasai at TakaTaichi Mania 2 recently. The second wrestler that won’t be in the tournament is ROH star Flip Gordon, which is due to visa issues.

Replacing the two talents are Japanese luchadore DOUKI and NJPW’s own Young Lion Ren Narita. Both men will be part of the B Block, as both Desperado and Gordon were in that bracket. The new blocks now look this this:

A Block

Dragon Lee
Tiger Mask IV
SHO
Titan
Marty Scurll
Jonathan Gresham
Taiji Ishimori
Yoshinobu Kanemaru
TAKA Michinoku
Shingo Takagi

B Block

Ren Narita
DOUKI
Ryusuke Taguchi
Will Ospreay
Rocky Romero
YOH
Bandido
El Phantasmo
Robbie Eagles
BUSHI

The BOTSJ tournament begins on May 13 and ends on June 5, with the winner receiving a shot at the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight championship.
