Zack Sabre Jr vs. Jonathan Gresham? The Bloodsport card just got better.

This year’s show is scheduled for Las Vegas the week of WrestleMania. Talents from numerous promotions such as WWE, AEW, MLW, TNA/Impact Wrestling, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling are scheduled for this annual event. Thus far, Tom Lawlor, Timothy Thatcher, Simon Gotch, Royce Isaacs, David Modzmanashvili, Natalya Heidhart, Gabe Kidd, Pete Dunne and just recently, Charlie Dempsey are confirmed for the upcoming show.

Zack Sabre Jr. and Jonathan Gresham are both veterans at this point in their careers. Zack is coming off the biggest year of his career as he carried New Japan Pro-Wrestling as the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. The 37-year-old held that belt for 120 days, beating big names such as Ricochet, Shota Umino, Shingo Takagi, SANADA, and Tetsuya Naito.

However, Jonathan Gresham knows a thing or two about being a world champion. Gresham was the ROH World Champion for 224 days; with prominent victories over Jay Lethal, Nick Aldis, Bandido, and Dalton Castle. The other advantage that Gresham has is that he’s competed at Bloodsport before. Though he’s 0 -1 at the event, Gresham is more accustomed to the format than Zack, who has to venture outside of the norm coming into Bloodsport. Zack’s technical prowess will certainly help him when these two finally lock horns.

Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Jonathan Gresham joins JR Kratos vs. Karrion Kross, Karmen Petrovic vs. Maika, Shinya Aoki vs. Charlie Dempsey, Leyla Hirsch vs. Jordan Blade,  Pete Dunne vs. Timothy Thatcher and Natayla Neidhart vs. Miyu Yamashita on the growing Bloodsport card that’s scheduled for April 17, 2024.

For those who don’t follow the unique format, Bloodsport started in 2018 under Matt Riddle’s name. Once Riddle signed to WWE, the event was turned over to former UFC fighter Josh Barnett. The rules are quite simple: every match will end either by knockout or submission. Instead of the traditional pro wrestling ring, the canvas has no ropes or turnbuckles.

We’re just a little over a month away from the annual Bloodsport and matches are finally starting to form. Which match will be announced next for Bloodsport?

Below are the confirmed names for Bloodsport XIII:
