While New Japan Pro-Wrestling has been unable to run live events due to the coronavirus, the promotion has been able to release new content on their Youtube channel and just recently, New Japan uploaded Guerillas of Destiny winning back the IWGP Tag Team titles.

Prior to the championship loss, FinJuice (David Finlay & Juice Robinson) entered the contest with all the momentum in the world. The duo surprised many in the 2019 World Tag League by securing 24 points during the annual competition. On December 8, 2019, Finlay and Robinson beat former IWGP Tag Team Champions EVIL & SANADA to win the 2019 tournament.

FinJuice would go on to Wrestle Kingdom 14 and beat Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa to win the prestigious belts for the first time in their careers. G.O.D had run rough shot through the heavyweight tag team division in 2019 for over a year as the duo had beaten teams such as SANADA & EVIL, Aussie Open’s Mark David and Kyle Fletcher, and The Briscoes before losing the titles.

However, Loa and Tonga would get their rematch 28 days later and showcase why they’re considered one of the best tag teams in the world by reclaiming the IWGP Tag Team titles. Check out the shocking title change below:
