Finn Balor Didn't Relinquish His Title On NXT, But It Sounds Like He Might Be Out For A While

Thankfully, it doesn't look like Finn Balor is going to have to relinquish the NXT Championship - though he may be out of action for a while.

Balor revealed that he had indeed suffered a broken jaw during his TakeOver 31 match with Kyle O'Reilly shortly before last night's episode of NXT got underway, and after Karrion Kross was forced to forfeit the title when he dislocated his shoulder, fans were concerned that The Prince would follow suit.

After a recap of the excellent bout and interview snippets with both competitors, the doctor confirmed Finn's diagnosis while making it clear that he'd be on the shelf while he heals up. We assume Balor would've had to hand over the gold if he was going to be out for a significant amount of time, so hopefully we're talking matter of weeks and not months here.

There's a chance Kross may return in the meantime, though, which should be very interesting.
