Finn Balor Shockingly Turns Heel On NXT And Takes Out Johnny Gargano

Shocking scenes to close out this week's episode of NXT, as Finn Balor appeared to join Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa in the ring to take on The Undisputed Era only to turn heel and attack the former.

So yeah, that Balor, Ciampa, Gargano vs. Undisputed Era match ain't happening.

Adam Cole and co. stood tall after Roderick Strong retained his NXT North American Championship, but Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano soon made their way out to the ring to crash the party. Four on two is not great odds for anyone, but when Finn Balor's music hit, the former DIY appeared to get some formidable backup.

Until Finn laid Gargano out with a pele kick, that is.

Balor was a heel as leader of the Bullet Club in NJPW, but this is the first time he's donned a black hat in WWE, and the crowd lapped it up. Whether this means he's actually joined forces with the Undiputed Era remains to be seen, but it looks like a feud with Johnny Wrestling is next on the agenda.

What do you guys make of heel Finn Balor? Sound off below.
