Ever since WWE began to reintroduce old school WCW PPV events such as the Great American Bash and Clash of Champions, fans have asked for the return of Halloween Havoc. Well, last night during NXT TakeOver 31, they got their wish.
A spooky promo aired during the show, announcing the return of Halloween Havoc as an NXT special on October 28. No matches were announced, but we do know that the incomparable Shotzi Blackheart will host the event.
Here's what WWE had to say about the return of Halloween Havoc:
This marks the return of the celebrated sports-entertainment tradition for the first time in 20 years. First held in 1989, the October rite of passage grew to be one of WCW's flagship events, featuring legends such as Ric Flair, Sting, Hulk Hogan, Goldberg and more.

Halloween is probably going to be a pretty muted affair for most people as restrictions continue to be implemented in many parts of the world, so this announcement is definitely a welcome one. Let's just hope they go all out with the set and have the Superstars in costume!
