Ridge Holland May Have Sustained A Serious Leg Or Ankle Injury On NXT

We're hoping this wasn't as serious as it looked, but it did not look good! Ridge Holland's leg gave way when he attempted to catch Oney Lorcan on NXT, and was stretchered out of the PC afterwards...

It looks like Ridge Holland may have sustained a pretty serious injury during last night's episode of NXT.

The up-and-coming Superstar had just defeated Danny Burch in a singles bout and was continuing the beat-down when Oney Lorcan ran in to stop the post-match attack. Both men were separated by officials, but when Lorcan dived over the ropes and Holland went to catch him, his left leg went under him at a very awkward looking angle.

Oney laid in a few punches, but Ridge's screams of pain made it clear that he was badly hurt.

WWE hasn't shared an official update, but based on what we saw, he may well have broken his ankle or torn his ACL, which will obviously keep him out of action for quite some time. Holland had just begun an angle with Adam Cole and the Undisputed ERA and looked set for a big push, so the timing couldn't be any worse for the former rugby player.

We wish Ridge a speedy recovery, and we'll be sure to keep you guys posted on his status.
