Say Goodbye To The NXT You Know And Love: Vince McMahon And Bruce Pritchard Are Taking Charge!

Well, it was nice while it lasted, eh? After AEW Dynamite obliterated NXT in the Wednesday Night War, Triple H is no longer in charge of the brand as Vince McMahon and Bruce Pritchard are set to get hands-on!

During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez addressed the planned changes to NXT. We've been hearing for weeks that the brand is set to be overhauled, with the spotlight moved away from independent wrestlers and put back on younger, bigger talent who have the potential to be the next John Cena or Roman Reigns.

While Triple H has done a stellar job with NXT (it's gone a little downhill the past couple of years, but was unbeatable in the mid-to-late 2010s), WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard now look set to take charge.

"Anything is possible, but I talked a while ago about how we’re gonna have a new NXT," Alvarez noted. "It’s going to be like the old NXT. I have heard from several people now that when they go back to live shows, this is going to be a Vince McMahon-Bruce Prichard production."

NXT already has a new logo and music, while the show will move permanently to the WWE Performance Center now. Vince has already been hands-off with NXT, but that's changing, and Dave Meltzer has since reported that he and Bruce will be behind everything. That includes promotion, creative, and even booking (though that's likely to be with top talent for the most part).

This feels like a disaster in the making, and for those of you unhappy with RAW and SmackDown...well, expect more of the same on Tuesday nights moving forward.

There's a chance we could be surprised, of course, but it's hard to feel too optimistic right now...

Well, so much for NXT being the only good part of WWE.
