AJ Francis is challenging Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Title!
It’ll be the battle of the former WWE superstars as the former Top Dolla gets a shot to prove why he belongs in the main event. TNA Wrestling confirmed the match for their Final Resolution pay-per-view on December 13th.
The former NFL star struggled a bit when he first came into professional wrestling. Though the Hit Row act was hot in NXT, Francis was exposed as one of the weaker in-ring performers on the main roster. What ultimately sealed his fate in WWE was a botched dive that pretty much confirmed that Hit Row’s return to the company was a bust.
However, since his release in 2023, Francis has been working hard on the independent scene and really started to find his groove in the business. Francis came over to the company in early 2024 and won both the TNA Digital Media Championship and the Canadian International Heavyweight Championship thus far.
Nic Nemeth has been doing this for 20 plus years however. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has been killing it in TNA since he made his debut at Hard to Kill in 2024. Nemeth won the world title at Slammiversary and has successfully defended the belt against Mustafa Ali, Josh Alexander, Moose, and Joe Hendry. This will be AJ Francis's first shot at a world title in TNA. This should be a very interesting clash of styles on the December 13th pay-per-view.
