Sunday at Slammiversary XVII, after Michael Elgin lost his World Championship match against Brian Cage, “The Unbreakable” snapped and attacked “The Machine”; The former ROH World Champion then grabbed color commentator Don Callis and looked to powerbomb the announcer; however, a mystery masked man came into the ring and speared Elgin.

It’s been confirmed by numerous sources that it’s indeed former WWE Tag Team Champion Rhyno; however, the ECW star’s contract with WWE has yet to expire, as his deal doesn’t end until July 17th. Despite the fact that Rhyno is still currently employed to WWE, Ryan Satin is reporting that Vince McMahon doesn’t appear bothered by the situation of Rhyno appearing at Slammiversary XVII behind a mask.

The ECW legend confirmed that he turned down a big money offer from the company due to wanting to be able to wrestle more. There’s no word on when Rhyno and Elgin are set to clash in Impact.
