Ever since Slammiversary XVII, reports have circulated that the duo of Ortiz & Santana (LAX) was officially done with Impact Wrestling after dropping the Tag Team titles Friday and taking the pin last Sunday.

However, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson has actually clarified the situation between the former multi-time Tag Team Champions and Impact Wrestling, as the wrestling journalist states that the duo still remain under contract with the promotion until August, despite previous speculation stating that LAX’s deal was up in July:

“The duo remain under contract until August for the promotion and would be available for Impact for their TV tapings this month in Windsor if they are booked to be there.”

Impact had been trying to come to terms with a new deal with the duo; however, Ortiz and Santana seem set to leave the company. As previously reported, All Elite Wrestling and WWE are indeed interested in the former multi-time Tag Team Champions.
