Spitfire is done.
At Under Siege, Dani Luna and Jody Threat had one last opportunity to regain the TNA Knockouts Tag Team titles from The Elegance brand (Ash By Elegance & Heather By Elegance). If they didn’t, then they would be forced to split for good. This stipulation helped them win the tag titles the first time around, but Luna and Threat weren’t so lucky here.
The duo lost to Ash & Heather, and now, their future is murky since Spitfire is no more. Despite the major setback, Dani Luna has promised that this is the end for the former TNA Knockouts Champion. A fire still burns within her, and she’s looking forward to showing the world what she can do as a singles competitor.
"You never know what you've really got until it's gone. Huh? That's what everybody said to me when I walked backstage at Under Siege. But I don't really agree, because I know what Spitfire had. What we had was a bond, a bond we forged through fire. We fought for each other, with each other, and through that, we became a family. You don't always get the fairy tale ending. I understand, and that's okay, because this hurt is fuel, fuel that I am going to use to become a Knockout that everybody remembers. Spitfire is done, but Dani Luna is not, and this fire, it remains, and I cannot wait to show you what I can do."
What does the future hold for Dani Luna and Jody Threat? Only time will tell. The two haven’t competed in a TNA since Under Siege. It’ll be interesting to see the plans for these two as a singles act.
Spitfire is a former two TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion. Luna and Threat formed the group back in 2023 and first beat MK Ultra (Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich) at Sacrifice to solidify them as a unit. Though Luna has spent most of her TNA run in a tag team, she’s actually a well established singles act who was in NXT UK for a lengthy period of time before her TNA run.
Luna has previously won the RevPro British Women's Championship, Celtic Crown Women's Championship, and the DPW Women's Worlds Championship. At the moment, there’s no time table on when Luna or Threat will make their return to TNA. We'll just have to wait and see what the future holds for these women.
